Research degrees
Edinburgh offers two different types of research degree
- MSc by Research (one year full time, or two years
part-time) and PhD. Students are registered through
the school of their main supervisor, and potential applicants
are invited to contact the staff
member whose research most closely matches their
area of interest to make initial inquiries.
We encourage co-supervision across different subject
areas; the relevant members of staff can advise you
on how this is organised.
