from the 2012/2013 session the programme will be MSc in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies
Research Skills
Students will take one research skills course in the
first semester. The aim of this courses is to furnish
students with the practical and methodological skills
to conduct an original piece of academic research, as
well as to give advice on progressing to doctoral research,
bidding for funding and so on. Specific research skills
in Renaissance Studies are covered in the Core Course.
All Renaissance to Enlightenment students will be
automatically enrolled in the School
of History and Classics Research Methods course,
unless they have particular reasons for choosing the
alternative courses offered by History
of Art, which may be more suitable for people interested
in a career in curatorship or museums.
